Exhibition Opening @5.30pm

Sarah Wells, AKA, Freekshow, is an emerging, Hobart based artist, who works with a range of mediums and scale in the dedication to bring to life her own multicoloured, fictionalised worlds.

The artist utilises acrylic paint, animation and drawing as her mediums, often on canvas, wood, or an urban street wall. The narratives are told through a distinctive, hyper-toned aesthetic, for which is always used to describe the artists state of mind and being.
With biting sarcasm and exaggerated colouration, reoccurring themes throughout the works often allude to an individuals warped ideals of body image, inappropriate awkwardness and other existential views on alienation, escapism and fantastical unrealities.
