Total FAIL

Patch Sinclair

Total FAIL consists of 8 watercolour compositions drawn on paper, each delicately framed to emphasise the subtleties of mark making.

Each meticulously thought out piece is a kaleidoscope combination of images merged into a single surface; a dream- like aesthetic of desperate storytelling emerges. Here, Patch comments on societal issues attaining to consumerism and information overload, using pop culture and gender- neutral characters to achieve her goal.

Sinclair remixes her own feelings of desperation into the narrative and seemingly searches for solutions attaining to anxiety and isolation in the process. Total FAIL reeks of frustration and helplessness, a small series in which the artist attempts to find order in the chaos.
